Roland Myers

Roland Myers is the president & CEO of the Tennessee Retail Association.

He also serves as a senior advisor with MNA Government Relations.

Roland has over 30 years of experience in representing business interests before government.

Before joining the Tennessee Retail Association in 2006, Roland served for five years as the director of government relations at the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry. From 1995 to 1999, he was the director of legislative affairs for the National Association of Federal Credit Unions in Washington, DC. Roland was the legislative director for U.S. Representative Tom Barlow of Kentucky and a legislative assistant for the Committee on Financial Services, U.S. House of Representatives, Washington, DC.

He is a member of the board of directors of the Middle Tennessee Council, Boy Scouts of America and the Tennessee Retail Association. He is a past board president of the Tennessee Lobbyists Association (2021); Tennessee Society of Association Executives (2017); Council of State Retail Associations (2014); and, The ALS Association, Tennessee Chapter (2010 to 2012). Roland was an ex officio member of the board of directors of the National Retail Federation in 2013 and 2014.

In 2020-2021, Roland served as the chair of the Retail Committee of Tennessee Governor Bill Lee’s COVID-19 Economic Recovery Group.

He is a Certified Association Executive (CAE), the highest designation in the association industry provided by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

In 2020, Roland received the “NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award” from the National Eagle Scout Association.

A Memphis native, he resides in Franklin, Tennessee. He is a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington.
